Our Sportsman Engines are aimed at the lighter-duty/budget airboater who needs Big Block Power on a multi-purpose boat. These are great engines for mid-size boats with moderate props.

The Sportsman LW Series are Aluminum Head which allow slightly more compression and aggressive cam profiles to achieve more power reliably, with several lighter components, and weigh approx 75#s less than Std Sportsman Engines.

Fuel Requirement; 87-89 (R+M/2) Octane Compatible 91-93 Recommended

Recommended RPM at WOT; 4600-5000

Turnkey Engines

Our Turnkey engine packages consist of components designed for an airboat application. Not light-duty car parts that either aren’t up to the task or the wrong fit. Each engine package has a custom designed header to optimize the torque curve of each engine, and all remaining parts are severe duty aftermarket. Contact for quote on parts swapping/custom requirements, and/or complete propulsion packages including gearbox and prop system fully thrust tested on our In-House thrust testing machine.

Warranty void if engine shows any sign of abuse, is tampered with, in any way, shape or form involving modification to tune-up parameters/Attempts at increasing HP beyond initial intent, operated out of suggested RPM range, excessive water temperature, loss of fuel pressure, lack of oil, poor maintenance, neighboring components inducing failure such as incorrectly installed redrive, out of balance propeller etc, and/or improper installation of any components accompanying the engine.
