Our High Velocity Engines are very similar to our Severe Duty’s. The main difference is that they’re more aimed at a performance/speed application. Mainly in the fact that they use higher compression and more aggressive camshafts to achieve higher RPM power. These engines are great for somewhat lighter/hobbyist boats, using higher RPM/less aggressive thrust-curve props. Meaning, acceleration and speed, rather than running over tree stumps with 6 people in the boat. This is basically the “Hot Rod” engine for a big boat. But be careful, they are higher maintenance, require higher-octane fuel, and don’t have as good of “manners”/drivability.
